DROC Strength & Mobility – Terms & Conditions
Let’s get you up to date with everything that is involved with your membership.
We strive to keep our Terms & Conditions straightforward, with no hidden surprises.
As a small business, we truly appreciate your commitment to us, as it helps us maintain the quality of service you expect.
By completing payment you are confirming that you have read, understood, and are agreeing to the terms & conditions and cancellation policies outlined below.
Between: You (The Member) and DROC Strength & Mobility (The Gym / DROC).
1.0 GENERAL
1.1 All membership fees must be paid in advance. Memberships will not be confirmed until payment has been received.
1.2 I understand there are inherent risks in participating in a program of strenuous exercise. If I sustain or claim to sustain any injury while participating in the program, I acknowledge that The Gym and the coaching team are not responsible – except where the injury was caused by gross negligence or an intentional act of the coach.
1.3 I will adhere to all instructions given to me by DROC staff.
1.4 I understand my progress is dependent upon my effort, co-operation, consistency, and adherence to the program both inside and outside of the training sessions themselves.
1.5 I understand that opening times and schedules are subject to change and may vary from the regular schedule over holiday and Bank Holiday periods.
2.0 CONTRACT DURATION & RENEWAL
2.1 Memberships are available on the following renewal cycles:
4-Weekly Rolling: renews automatically every 4 weeks.
6-Month Membership: paid up front, renews automatically every 6 months unless cancelled with 1 month’s notice prior to renewal.
12-Month Membership: paid up front, renews automatically every 12 months unless cancelled with 1 month’s notice prior to renewal.
2.2 By completing payment and agreeing to this contract:
4-Weekly Rolling memberships require 1 full calendar month’s notice to cancel or freeze.
6- and 12-Month memberships are fixed-term and must run their full term. They cannot be cancelled or refunded mid-term.
For 6- and 12-Month memberships, cancellation or downgrade notice must be given at least 1 full calendar month before the renewal date, otherwise the next term will be billed in full.
If less than 1 month’s notice is given, members may still cancel or downgrade, but an additional 4-weekly payment will be required before the change takes effect.
3.0 MEMBERSHIP TYPES & PAYMENTS
At DROC Strength & Mobility we keep memberships simple, with three options to suit your training needs:
DROC 2
2 coached sessions per week, plus nutrition support, check-ins with your coach, access to the DROC app, and regular workshops.
DROC 3
3 coached sessions per week, plus nutrition support, check-ins with your coach, access to the DROC app, and regular workshops.
DROC Unlimited
Unlimited coached sessions per week, plus nutrition support, check-ins with your coach, access to the DROC app, and regular workshops.
3.1 All memberships are paid in advance by recurring card payment or Direct Debit (for 4-weekly memberships) or upfront (for 6- and 12-month memberships).
3.2 All payments are processed on the start date of your contract and renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled in line with these terms.
3.3 Unused sessions do not roll over from one billing period to the next.
3.4 I certify that I am the holder of the credit/debit card or account used when signing up to this contract via Stripe or GoCardless.
3.5 I understand that my membership may be frozen if my account becomes more than 4 calendar days late (4-weekly memberships only).
4.0 MEMBERSHIP FREEZES
4.1 Membership freezes are available only for 4-weekly memberships and are limited to 2 full calendar months per year, in 1- or 2-month increments.
4.2 All freeze requests require 1 full calendar month’s notice before the next scheduled payment date.
4.3 When the freeze period ends, payments and membership access will automatically resume.
4.4 6- and 12-month memberships cannot be frozen, except in cases of serious illness or injury at DROC’s discretion.
5.0 CANCELLATIONS & DOWNGRADES
5.1 4-weekly memberships require a 1 full calendar month’s notice to cancel. Any payments falling within this notice period will be processed as normal and are non-refundable. You may continue to use the gym during the notice period.
5.2 6- and 12-month memberships require a 1 full calendar month’s notice prior to the renewal date if you do not wish to continue into the next term. Once a new 6- or 12-month term has begun, it is non-cancellable and non-refundable.
5.3 If less than 1 month’s notice is provided for cancellation or downgrade of a 6- or 12-month membership, one additional 4-weekly payment will be required before the cancellation/downgrade is confirmed.
5.4 If you do not intend to adhere to these terms, please do not sign up.
6.0 AGREEMENT
6.1 In the case of serious injury or illness, DROC Strength & Mobility reserves the right to apply discretion to the cancellation and freeze policies outlined above.
6.2 By completing payment and taking up membership at DROC Strength & Mobility I confirm that I am entering into a contract and agreeing to the terms and conditions outlined above.
